LED Turn Signal Technology
The body control module (BCM) on some of Harley’s most popular motorcycles carries both brake and rear turn signal power on the same wire. You can find this on Street Glide, Road Glide & Road King Special models. This multiplexed signal limits the rear turn signal illumination. Since brake function is also present, the turn signal must blink red in color.

Custom Dynamics introduces a revolutionary technology in their plug and play SMART LED Turn Signals for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The bright LED clusters are a direct replacement for the rear 1157 turn signal bulb. They contain 48 dual color LEDs behind a spherical lens to amplify the light output. Units are DOT compliant with provided smoked bullet lens caps. The LED turn signals work with included controller that installs under the seat. Together, they provide red running light, bright red brake light, and full contrast amber turn signal flash. This dual color technology adds amber illumination to distinguish clear signaling on the back of the motorcycle. It adds safety, too!
Rear Turn Signals with Added Safety
In addition, the plug and play controller has 10 built-in brake flash and strobe patterns. Choice of pattern can be selected by rotating the dial on module. Also, you can apply the brake flash or strobe pattern to other popular Custom Dynamics lighting products. It flashes the ProBEAM® Run/Brake LED TriBar light for the bottom of the rear fender. It also works with any dual color or sequential (4-wire) lighting accessory.
Brake flash and strobe patterns from the controller are compatible with Custom Dynamics add-on lighting products that are Dual Color (Amber/Red) or function as a Sequential Turn Signal. These are 4-wire lighting products.
